Who are you arranging a service for?

Choosing between burial and cremation can be a deeply personal decision, and we encourage you to first explore how they wanted to proceed. If you can not get that information, we will walk you through both options as they have their own influence on the next decisions to be made and how the day will look.

For example, if you choose a burial, you will need to decide things like what casket, who will be the pallbearers, do you want an open or closed service. We will walk you through each of these decisions and answer any questions you have along the way.

Selecting a venue is a very important decision. There are no rules on where a funeral or memorial service can be held — it is completely up to your family to decide. 

Whether at home, outside, a crematorium, your local church or at our venues. We will assist with the arrangements to make everything function smoothly.

No matter the style of service, there are many roles which contribute to the day. Deciding who will be the officiant, the pallbearers, who will MC the day, who will do any readings, even who will provide catering play into how the day will run. This is a structured but also very dynamic part of the process. When it comes to the time, we will make sure everything is in order. 

In the past, our funeral directors have even stepped in to fill a role which unexpectedly needs to be filled.

What is sung or read can be a special moment for your family and those who attend your service. Poems, Bible verses, or their favourite song, it’s up to your family to choose what will be in the service.
