Hey Greg, You are one of the most genuine people I have ever had the privilege of knowing in my extended family. Working in Auckland, you Sandy Alice and Michaela took me into your home as if it was my own sharing stories laughs and common interests that being Star wars, star wars is not for everyone but you were always down for a chat. You will be deeply missed but but always remembered within our mind and soul, rest at ease my friend and may the force be with always.

Greg, I was so saddened to hear you have left us all far too soon. My deepest condolences to the loving family you've left behind. Thank you for being the person you were. Calm, collected, witty and kind. You have not only influenced the way I policed but the way I lead. Even though you weren't officially my boss you still had advice when I needed it and took the time.

Hey boss when I first heard this news it floored me. I thought no way this cannot be true! I had the privilege of working with you for 7 years. You were a man of integrity, honesty and fairness with a good mix of cheeky. You ‘coaxed’ us up those Kennedy Steps for workouts regularly which, to be honest most of us enjoyed. Wayne mentioned sore muscles from one of those very workouts and you had that amused grin as you sat at your desk and looked at your computer. We often saw that grin during our chats up until recently. Now when we gather, there will be a missing piece. So sorry Sandy, Alice and Michaela for your loss. He was one of the best.

Greg was like a big brother to me growing up across the road in Wanganui. He was always kind and patient and I will always remember the love and respect he had towards my widowed mother. The Ander family were seen as family by us Kennedy's. Their home was ours and vice versa. Rest in paradise Greg until we meet again James Kennedy

My deepest condolences to the Anders family for your loss. On behalf of my family, Detective Anders will eternally have our everlasting admiration, respect, and love. Detective Anders, I will never forget that times you and Detective Santayana spent with us during the most difficult period of our lives. You were an absolute rock that we leant on for support. I am terribly saddened by your loss because the world has lost a just and good man. There are people you meet in life, even for a brief moment, that leave a lasting impression, you were such a man, worthy of emulation from not only your subordinates but also the community which you kept safe. You truly embodied the very best of the NZ Police. I will miss the well wishes we send each other every Christmas and will always treasure your memory for it left a deep and indelible mark in me. May you rest in peace sir, and from up high, may you always keep a safe watchful eye on the community you served throughout your life.

Greg, I can't believe you're gone. We adored you and loved you. We loved visiting and staying with you, Sandy and the girls. I feel blessed that you always made me feel so much a part of your family. There was always a laugh to be had listening to the girls singing their heart and souls out to the sound of music or playing games and the odd BBQ here and there. Our memories of holidaying in Hawaii with you and Sandy will be treasured. You were a fantastic brother in-law and we will miss you so much. Fly high big guy. Xoxo

Still trying to process this one… I was absolutely stunned and deeply saddened to hear of your passing. I’ll miss the coffees, the chats, and the way we somehow fixed the Police and the entire world in an hour over a cup. We were overdue for one of those chats, and when that next cup is poured, it’ll be a bittersweet one. It was an honour to know you, to work with you, and to call you a mate. Thank you for the memories, the wisdom, and the laughs. Rest easy, you’ll be missed.

To my big brother and a true friend. You have left a chasm that can only be filled with treasured memories too numerous to count. Always generous with your brotherly friendship and welcoming presence, I feel privileged to have shared a lifetime with you. Rest in peace Bro - miss you and will love you forever.
