Thinking of you all with heartfelt sympathy at this very sad time. Janice was a much-loved member of our family, and I will always remember her with great fondness and warmth. Although we didn’t see each other as often as we would have liked, I treasured our phone calls. Sending love and strength to Celia, Lydia and all of Janice’s family and friends. May the beautiful memories you have of Janice bring you comfort in the days ahead.

At a time when few women packed a bag and simply went, Janice crossed oceans and borders with a boldness that was entirely her own. She was a true tour de force: adventurous and devoted. She leaves behind more stories than any of us got to hear. Rest in peace, Janice. What a beautiful legacy you leave through Lydia and your family.

My memories of Aunty Janice when I was little are fuzzy, but my Mum has told me how welcome in the family Aunty Janice made her feel, and how when we would visit she was always kind to me, and helpful to Mum, especially when I received my diagnosis. We are all very sorry to hear she has passed but thankful it was peaceful. Please accept our condolences for your loss. We'll always remember her fondly. With love Samantha Parkinson
