Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on the 13th July 2026 after 88 wonderful years.
Dearly loved mother of John, Michael and Richard. Mother-in-law to Pilar, Dhita and Rachel.
Much-loved grandmother of Cameron, Amelia, Olivia, Briana, Renzzo and Mariana, and treasured great-grandmother of Oscar.
A special and heartfelt thank you to our cousins Ruth and Jane-Mary, who were brilliant in caring for and supporting Mum towards the end of her life. Your kindness, compassion and support were deeply appreciated by the whole family.
A memorial service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at the All Souls Chapel, Purewa Cemetery, Auckland, on 29 August at 1.00 pm

Joan and I were at school together she was an a deal student me the opposite but we became friends thru Barbara. I have spent many wonderful times with Joan in nz but also shdney and port Macquarie .she was a wonderful friend rest in peace my dear friend.
