Service Details

John Child died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on 13th December 2024. The night before, he enjoyed a lamb vindaloo, which he had made himself from scratch, and a nice glass of Syrah. When he died, he was texting his daughter to plan a much anticipated lunch out with family and friends. He was also looking forward to watching the third test and attending a national executive meeting of the Sixties Up later that day. He was enjoying his life, right to the last moment.

John will be joining his adored wife, Josephine Mary and much loved son Mark Jonothan in the hereafter. He leaves behind and will be very much missed by his daughter, Lindsay and her partner Anne. He will also be missed by Paul and his family; Flynn, Aiko and Rosie; his chum Doris and her daughter, Jen and all his friends in Browns Bay and from the Glenfield Sixties Up.

John’s funeral will be at North Shore Memorial Park, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany at 2pm on Thursday 19th December. All welcome. Please avoid wearing black. Donations (rather than flowers) to Glenfield Sixties Up.
