I have known Nelson since 1959 when I went to Waihi High School - Later Waihi College . He has always been a great friend and we have kept in touch since then. He has been faithful to his belief in Christ Jesus and we have shared many of his feeling re his family and WW1 service records. He will be greatly missed and he will not be forgotten.

What a beautiful friend Nelson is. He’s been in my life and family since I was born.
A close friend of all my siblings, an adopted big brother an adventurous trumpet & traveler.
I fondly remember the visits from Nelson as he passed through Hong Kong on his way to yet another world 🌎 adventure.
I’d recently see a photo of Nelson holding me as a little tot.
The Macpherson siblings will miss you and your visits dear Nelson. Thanks for choosing to be a part of our Family.

What an interesting life Nelson had. It is lovely remembering him from over 60 years through our teacher training to our catch ups over the years for our special group. He gathered great friends along the way. Thank you Nelson.

Remembering many happy times spent with Nelson not only in New Zealand but on his many visits to our home in England. A true gentleman who only wished to please and he really was the instigator of keeping our far flung families together. Rest in peace Nelson. Jane and John

Nelson was a lifelong friend of my late wife Vivien (nee Rowe), from preschool days through primary school and secondary school. They kept in contact with their class reunions and Waihi Connections. He was a dear friend to Vivien.
