Peter Charles Ayling

Peter was such a warm, hospitable man, always welcoming us as his family and friends when we met. Indeed he and Margaret were substitute parents to our two teenagers in Whangarei when we were overseas so they became special people to our family. He will be fondly remembered by us and will continue to be an inspiration to us as we follow on behind him. Enjoy your reward now Peter.

Peter is remembered fondly by us for his leadership in BBUK, his enthusiastic welcome to new migrants, in doing his complex job with aplomb, and for all the many roles he undertook within Baptist Churches across NZ. He and Margaret reached out to many families in Whangarei, particularly those on their own at Christmas, and both left an enduring legacy in the Christmas Eve Carol services at WBC. Sing well in the heavenly choirs Peter!
